One of the first things I'd like to mention is the upcoming Twin City Bridal Wedding Fair this Sunday. As always, we'll be there and would love for you to stop by and see us. We'll be giving away a $2,000 destination wedding with Palace Resorts! I have to be honest, their wedding designs by Colin Cowie are among my absolute favorites in the industry. If you'd like to take a peek at some of the beautiful and classy photos, you can find them here.
Not planning a destination wedding? Not to worry! There will be plenty of perks and benefits for future honeymooners too. Tickets are $15.00 and are now on sale. Wanna know a little secret? If you pre-order your tickets rather than purchase at the door, you'll receive a free one-year subscription to Brides Magazine (sweet, right?! Each issue sells for $5.99 on the shelf!).
Now onto my main topic for today... Pinterest! I'm hoping most of you are familiar with it. If not, I strongly recommend checking it out (warning: you may however want to wait until all of your emails are answered, the family's clothes are washed, folded + put away and dinner is in the oven. It is severely addicting and may cause you to fall behind on a house-chore or two).
Pinterest is the perfect place to get inspiration for all kinds of things... Home decor, cooking and baking recipes, party ideas, new workouts, fashion trends, etc., etc., etc! One thing I love using it for is to get unique ideas for destination weddings. There are some very cool projects and products on there to borrow and make your own--I've come across some great beach wedding 'pins' lately which I'd love to show you today!
~ Luggage Tag Save-The-Dates ~
Order them from the vendor on Etsy here.
~ Along those same lines, how great are these 'Ready, Set, Pack!' invites? ~
They can be customized and ordered here.
Need an idea for a cute wedding favor? Pack some mints or chocolates in one of these mini, customized luggage cases. If your budget allows, I would put these inside a larger gift for your guests. You could fill a beach bag with items like snacks, paper fans, custom towels, sunscreen and/or other goodies. Place it in their room pre-arrival... What a welcome!
Tins can be purchased here.
Ever seen these before? Seating cards in a bottle! Place papers marked with names + table numbers inside cork-topped vials and display on a sand-filled platter or glass dish. How cool for an oceanfront reception? More details here!
Now who is going to want to dance in heels all night?
Collect flip-flops from the dollar store and set out for your late-night-revelers.
Lastly, I always think it's a good idea to browse different photography ideas and make a 'must-shot' list for your photographer. Pinterest is great for this! Here are two of my current destination-wedding-inspired favorites:
Sorry, no direct source for this one :(
Nothing like Pinterest to get me inspired and excited for the Wedding Fair this Sunday! Looking forward to seeing at least a few of you there.
